For legal professionals

Built for the people who sign their work.

Lawyers, paralegals, notaries, law clerks and in-house counsel. WarmLoop gives the AI assistant you already use Canadian case law and legislation to work from, and checks the citations, pinpoints and quotations in a draft before it goes out: in litigation, and in the solicitor's and in-house work that never sees a courtroom. You need not let AI draft a word to use it: hand your assistant the brief the other side filed, and see which of its authorities hold.

What you can do with it

The research, the drafting and the check, in one conversation.

Ask in plain language or, in Claude Code, reach for the commands: /wl-research, /wl-cite-check, /wl-memo, /wl-noteup, /wl-audit and more.

Research an issue

Break a question into its issues and get the authorities for each, ranked for the court you are in: among results about equally on point, the judgment that made a rule comes ahead of a trial decision quoting it.

What is the test for adding a party after the limitation period has run in Saskatchewan, and which Court of Appeal decisions apply it?

Check a draft, yours or theirs

Point it at a factum, a memo or the other side's brief. Every authority comes back verified, verify manually or contradicted, with the disposition and the paragraphs around each pinpoint.

Check every citation and quotation in the respondent's brief.

Note it up

The later decisions WarmLoop holds that cite a case, and how they treated it where that has been analyzed, with the share not yet analyzed stated, not hidden.

Is this Court of Appeal decision still followed, and has anyone distinguished it?

Solicitor and corporate work

Wills, powers of attorney, health care directives and trusts drafted against the governing statute's formal requirements; annual corporate resolutions and registers; formal opinions with their assumptions and qualifications stated. Built on your own precedents where you have them.

Prepare this year's annual resolutions for the corporation and tell me what has to be filed.

Deadlines, limitations and costs

A deadline computed from the rule's own text with the arithmetic shown, a limitation period with its discoverability analysis, party-and-party costs under the tariff. Saskatchewan and the Federal Court first.

When is our brief due if the application is heard on November 20?

Organize the file

Matter documents sorted into a fixed structure, renamed by date, indexed and made searchable, with nothing you are working on moved; then the affidavit of documents or the questioning outline built from it. This needs an assistant that can work with files on your computer, such as Claude Code.

Organize this matter folder and build the index.

Publish the finished brief as a record your reader can check
Who it suits

Every size of practice, the same checking tools.

Every litigator personally signs the briefs they file, and every one of them, from the solo practitioner to the largest firm, can be sanctioned for an authority that doesn't hold up. An opinion or an instrument a client relies on carries its own risk. WarmLoop gives every one of them the same checking tools, whether they practise alone or in a large firm.

WarmLoop is available to law firms, lawyers, in-house legal departments, businesses and government bodies located in Canada outside Quebec, for business, professional or governmental use.

  • Firms of every size. From the solo without an associate to the litigation team that wants every citation checked before filing. Each account belongs to one named person.
  • A predictable monthly cost. $130 a month per user, or $100 a month on an annual commitment, in Canadian dollars plus applicable taxes, with no setup or onboarding fee and 30 days' notice of any price change, so research and verification can be accounted for the way firms already account for research and technology charges.
  • Flat-fee & unbundled practices. The efficiency to charge a fixed fee and still make the file worth taking.
  • Access to justice. The courts are catching fabricated authorities from self-represented litigants as well as from counsel. Bringing checkable research within reach of the people priced out of counsel, with a lawyer in the loop, is where this is pointed. It is a direction, not yet a product you can buy.

Where WarmLoop stops

  • "Verified" means WarmLoop found the case, the pinpoint and a close match for any quoted words in the text it holds, which is an unofficial copy. It tells you what was found, not that the authority is good law, so check the official source before you file.
  • "Not held" means WarmLoop does not hold it, never that it does not exist. Coverage varies by jurisdiction, court and date: case law from the courts of every province and territory, the federal courts and many tribunals; legislation for Canada, British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, New Brunswick and Newfoundland and Labrador, not yet for Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Quebec or the territories.
  • WarmLoop machine-checks. It does not review or endorse your argument, and your own duty to verify what you file stays with you.
  • WarmLoop uses the text of your queries to operate and monitor the service and to investigate faults and misuse, never to develop it. WarmLoop's founder also practises law; the founder's law firm is a separate organization and a customer of WarmLoop, and WarmLoop makes no personal information about its users available to it.
