Canadian-hosted
WarmLoop's web service, database, record store, sign-in service and outbound email run in AWS's Canada (Central) region, and the corpus, search and query log run on WarmLoop's own servers in Saskatchewan. Some parties work outside those systems, some of them outside Canada. Your AI assistant's vendor sees everything you send and receive. WarmLoop uses Stripe for payments, Google and Microsoft for the sign-ins you choose, Microsoft 365 for its mailboxes, Cloudflare for this website, and Anthropic's Claude and GitHub for its development and support work, which can include your feedback and other content it examines to help you, but not your research queries. The Privacy Policy lists each one and what it receives.
Privilege-aware by design
Confidentiality shapes the architecture: WarmLoop keeps its own systems in Canada, does not use your content to train AI models, and does not read the documents you publish. The text of your research queries is kept in the query log, with your user ID, for 30 days, then for about 12 months in encrypted backups, and it also appears in the corpus servers' request logs, which have no set deletion period. WarmLoop uses the text of your queries to operate and monitor the service and to investigate faults and misuse, never to develop it. WarmLoop's founder also practises law; the founder's law firm is a separate organization and a customer of WarmLoop, and WarmLoop makes no personal information about its users available to it.
Our own hardware for the corpus
The corpus and search run on WarmLoop's own servers in Saskatchewan, results are re-ranked by a model AWS hosts in its Canada (Central) region, and published records are served from Canada with no CDN and no presigned download links.
